Copenhagen Wind Tunnel

Svend Ole Hansen ApS took their own boundary layer wind tunnel into use in 1991. The wind tunnel is located in central Copenhagen at the same address as the Svend Ole Hansen ApS’s main office. A wide range of experiments have been carried out over the years in the wind tunnel; from bridges, towers and chimneys to high- and low-rise structures, determining vibrations, wind loads – static as well as dynamic – and qualifying wind environments. The numerous experiments carried out in the wind tunnel have found a base for various publications.

The CPH wind tunnel is an open tunnel, with a single fan creating the flow and it has a test section of 1.7 x 1.5 m (w x h).
